Thank you for coming to our website. In these few lines, we would like to tell you and explain why and for whose sake we came to Donosti (San Sebastian).
For 27 years I have been making traditional Catalan food, the way my grandparents and grandparents taught me: with love as an “ingredient”, using good produce and caring for customers. I, César, am from Tarragona and my wonderful wife is from Amara (Donostia). And I am delighted to be here in this great city with its noble people.
We decided to fill a gap we identified when we came on holiday: grilled vegetables, chicken, rabbit, shanks, rice and sixty other dishes, such as Llauna grilled snails (embers, salt, pepper, good snails and the secret: a good olive oil and lots of love).
My references are from Viella (Valle de Aran), from the restaurant that has the same name, All i oli, and puts just as much love into what we do. If you look it up on the Internet, as you are doing now, you will see it is in Valle de Aran (Lleida), which will sound more familiar if we tell you it is the valley where the Baqueira Beret ski resort is located.
We have a reputation that you don’t get for nothing, featuring in guides such as Michelin, Lonely Planet, Routard and several more.
As a parting word, before you get fed up with me, I would like to ask you to try our fare and give us the opportunity of making a place for ourselves in a city with an excellent gastronomic reputation.
